Made from whole grains and lentils soaked, air-dried, and gently roasted, this ready-to-cook soup blend is light, nourishing, and easy to digest. Ideal for a gentle, detoxifying meal or a quick, wholesome dinner, it supports balance and wellbeing. Simply cook and finish with the included herbal garnish — cilantro for a cooling touch.Adding a teaspoon of ghee enhances flavor and aids absorption of nutrients.

 

Quinoa, yellow moong dal, split green gram, buckwheat, urad dal, barley. Spice mix: coriander, fennel, cumin, turmeric, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom, dry coconut, flaxseeds, juniper pods, asafoetida, Himalayan pink salt.

1. Rinse and wash the Kichari Mix three times.

2. Boil in 3 cups of water until tender and well cooked.

3. Add the spice mix and stir well—if not mixed evenly, some bites may taste bland.

4. Optional: Add 2 tbsp coconut milk, garnish with fresh cilantro, and drizzle with lemon or lime juice.

5. Finish with a generous dollop of Food For The Soul’s Organic Cultured Gṛtham and enjoy!

Instant Pot Method:

1. Rinse the Kichari Mix three times and add to the Instant Pot with 2.5 cups of water.

2. Use the multigrain function and pressure cook. Once pressure releases, open, add the spice mix, stir well, and finish with a generous dollop of Food For The Soul’s Organic Cultured Gṛtham and enjoy!.

Optional: Add seasonal vegetables like green beans, carrots, or butternut squash for extra nourishment.
